maranatha, see and understand, Day 8

Standard

See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted. Just as there were many who were appalled at him – his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness – so he will sprinkle many nations and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand. Is 52.13-15

Our God exalts the broken. He elevates the humble. He magnifies the lowly. Jesus became nothing when He became human, and then He went even further than that. He became our sin (2 Corinthians 5.21). He took on the very wrath He deserved to deal out, in His wisdom.

My God, I pray for our nation’s “kings”. May they see beyond what they have been told. May they see the truth. See You. Draw the nations to yourself. No one is too far, because you have already gone the farthest lengths to get us. Help them understand. Help us all understand.

About Jessi Journeyer

I'm a young woman who's been blessed with enough experiences to know that if you don't record what God is teaching and doing in you while it's happening, you're likely to forget His work and therefore miss some of the possible benefits. Initially started as my attempt to sort out the lessons God gave me in Bible School, this online-journal has grown into an ongoing chronicle of God's work and voice in my life, an attempt to sort-out the great soup of thoughts, questions and ponderings that are stirring in my heart and mind. For my benefit and, maybe, for yours.
